So while i was waiting for my Pom to have her pups, I started to think about "designer" dogs and how I most commonly see the poodle used in these mixes. So I was just wonder why is that?

Oh and Ghost had 3 boys and 1 girl with no problems. :D

When Can I Train Puppy On Harness?

My puppy is 7 weeks. Can I start training him with a harness and leash around the house (not outdoors)? Is he too young or is it ok to begin?
He is a Bichon Frise and Poodle mix.

Poochon & Shorkie

Precious is an adult Yorkshire terrier and Shih tzu mix. Daisy is a new addition to our family and she is a Bichon Frise and Poodle mix. I love "designer dogs" because in my experience they have the best of both worlds. Precious likes to play and run around outside like most terriers, but she is very calm and like to lay around in the house. She does not shed; or I should say shed very little because all dogs shed and she only barks when someone is at the door. Daisy is new to our family and so far she has a delightful temperment and it was easy to potty train. I was a bit nervouse because I was told Bichon Frise are difficult to housetrain, but she is doing well so far. She also does not shed or I should say shed very little, because all dogs shed and does not bark. Of course she is young yet so we will see. The biggest issue with having these types of dogs are grooming costs. They are not too expensive since they are small dogs, but because their hair does not fall off they have to have their coats trimmed every 4-8 weeks
