I want a really unusual and funky pet costume for my dog for Halloween this year.
I have a miniature schnauzer.
I've already found this site online, it looks great, does anyone have any experience with them as a company?
Delivery times, reliability etc?
We are doing a pet costume contest, party and adoption event in 2 weeks. We have thought of bobbin for bones for dogs(kiddie pool with bones) and bone guess (mason jar filled with bones closest guesser wins the jar).
of course we have the costume contest. and then the adoption in themorning, but we would like to do one or two more games.
we are expecting anywhere from 50-100 people (or more!!!)
and it's an all day event at the local pet superstore.
so any other ideas would be great.
(games for dogs or for people & dogs)
This Friday my town is having a pet costume contest and I would like to enter my dog. He is a golden retriever (however, small for his breed). What are some good costume ideas for him? Please keep in mind that I will also take him trick or treating in this costume so it needs to be comfortable for him as well as allow him to go to the bathroom.
My brother in law is opening a pet store, where everything sold is handmade by LOCAL people. This includes cages, bowls, aquarium decor, leashes, dog clothes, colars, dog treats ect. The only things not made locally are food supplies and medical supplies. The only dogs and cats available for adoption are from rescue organizations, and all pocket pets/reptiles are from reputable breeders that live IN town. He is very against puppy mills and over-breeding, and wants his pet store to be a haven, not a prison. His display cages are over-stocked with toys, carpeting (not wires, which I admire him greatly for) and all dogs/cats are taken home at closing. Either the rescue takes them, or he does.. to reduce the chance of theft and help the animals become more social.
Anyways, he decided to have "events" every thurs, fri and sat to help draw people in for a while. He's already decided (and booked) fridays as "adoption day" where various dog/cat/pocket pet rescues come out. But he's having trouble on thurs and saturdays. He was considering making Saturday a "kids night" and having hamster ball races, turtle races, pet costume contests and offering prizes to the winner (mainly pet supplies). What types of "events" would draw YOU in as a customer? He's looking for something unique, something that hasn't really been done a lot before.. so try to be creative! Thanks!
Does anyone have any idea where I can find patterns for pet Halloween costumes... I want patterns, not the costumes themselves. I have looked, and the major pattern brands (Simplicity, McCalls, etc) don't have very much. If anyone knows of any websites that have cute pet costume patterns, please let me know! Thanks in advance!
My sister is dressing up as a chocolate chip cookie, her friend as milk and they have decided to dress up my dog as a mouse. They're entering a pet costume contest judged on creativity, attention to detail, and how well the costume fits the pet's personality. They're going off of that book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Can you offer any suggestions for the dog's costume?
I have a ten pound Chihuahua.
ok, every year i enter my dog (6 lbs. black chihuahua: male) in a pet costume contest. I want this year to be his year! We need something EXTREME!!! Totally amazing! something that will have to win! Last year the winner was Molly Monroe (Marilyn Monroe) She had a white gown, riding on a parade-float-looking wagon. she was so cute!!! We were thinking of doing a fireman- with uniform, hat, axe, and fire extinguisher (not real, lol), and have him ride on a wagon that is dressed up like a fire truck... but are there any other suggestions?
